Dear GES Families:
Because of continued COVID-19 related concerns, Gilbert Elementary School will extend e-learning for all students until Wednesday, September 15, 2021.
Students will return to school and resume face-to-face instruction on Thursday, September 16.
There will be no school-related clubs, activities and/or events during these days.
We continue to experience a high percentage of staff and student absences because of illness, quarantine, or because they are caring for a sick or quarantined child.
Remaining in the e-learning instructional model for a few more days allows us to deliver more consistent, high-quality learning to all students.
During this e-learning period, your student is expected to continue participating in e-learning activities and completing work given to your student by the teacher.
Families can pick up no-cost student meals on Monday, September 13 from 12–1 p.m., in front of the school.
Again, please know we did not make this decision lightly. Thank you for your understanding and support.
