Lexington County School District One employees are leaders, both inside and outside of the classroom. Our teachers, administrators, and support staff are beacons of excellence for our students and proudly represent our district in everything they do.
With the forward-thinking initiatives of empowerment and designing the future, it is no wonder that so many educators and staff aspire to work in our district. In Lexington One, we encourage the innovative and personalized curriculum that educators desire to teach.
Our employees are caring and personable with a passion for improving the lives of our students. Many are experts in their respective fields with nearly 70% of our teachers holding Master’s degrees.
Because of our outstanding employees, Lexington County School District One continues to be one of the best-performing school districts in South Carolina.
Throughout our school district, we use a variety of common vocabulary terms. Though familiar to educators, these terms may not always be self-explanatory to our students, parents or community.
In an effort to create one learning community, we have provided a list of common vocabulary terms for download. This document outlines and defines some of the most common terms used throughout our district, referring to various educational programs, tests and more.
Please feel free to download and read this list, available below, and reach out to us with any questions.
